How to Successfully Login to Messenger without app-5 Simple Step
Facebook has made it so difficult to view your Facebook messages without downloading the app. But there is a way to login to Messenger without an app from your phone and desktop.
Personally, I don’t think it makes any sense to separate the main Facebook app from Facebook messenger. Some people say Facebook is trying to crack down on Fake Facebook accounts. At the moment, it’s impossible to view your Facebook messages on the Facebook main app without downloading the Messenger app.
This might not be workable for some people, especially if you’ve got little memory space on your mobile device. If you don’t mind downloading the Messenger app, all good for you.
Some people just don’t like the idea of downloading so many apps on their mobile phone, it might be for privacy reasons or any other reason. I will show you in this article how you can use messenger login without an app.
Login to Messenger without app using your Android/iPhone Browser
Until recently, you could easily login to your Facebook account on your mobile browsers such as Chrome, Internet Explorer or Safari and then open up messenger.
This is no longer a straightforward process, when you try to access messenger from your mobile browser you’ll get a message that says: This page isn’t available, The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.
There is a way to get this sorted, just follow the steps below;
1. Log into your Facebook account on your mobile browser using your android or iPhone.
2. Click on the three vertical dots on the top right side of your phone, to open the Chrome menu settings.
3. Scroll down, find and tap Desktop site , this will tick the box, this will open your Facebook account in desktop mode.
4. Tap the hamburger icon (3 horizontal lines) at the top of the Facebook page, then tap Messenger.
5. It will launch a new page for Facebook Messenger. You should be able to send and respond to messages as you would on a desktop or the Facebook Messenger app.
This is the only way I know you can use to see your Facebook messages on your phone without Installing the Messenger app. You can also login to Messenger without app on a PC or Laptop as these devices have default desktop browser settings. You won’t be prompted to download the app.
Just to add, if your privacy or security is the major reason you’re hesitant about downloading the Messenger app on your mobile phone, you could maybe change the cookies permissions on your phone.
